Choosing gun care products

For everyday cleaning and protection, Ballistol Universal Oil does most jobs on its own: it loosens fouling, lubricates and leaves a film that stops rust. Add Gunex gun oil for a dedicated firearm lubricant, GunCer ceramic oil or grease for high-load parts, and Robla Solo MIL or our specialist cleaners for heavy copper and lead fouling.

Gun cleaning products, by job

• Gun cleaning kits: the Gun Care Kit is a complete gun cleaning set; the Range Kit adds a rod for pistols, rifles and shotguns.
• Gun oil and cleaner: Ballistol Universal Oil cleans, lubricates and protects; Gunex and GunCer for lubrication under heavy use.
• Bore cleaners: Robla Solo MIL for copper and lead fouling.
• Gun cleaner spray: Gunparts Cleaner and Silencer Cleaner.
• Rods, brushes and felts: carbon cleaning rods, bore brushes and felts, including air rifle cleaning plugs.

New to cleaning a gun? Start with the gun cleaning starter kit. For shotgun cleaning, a 12 gauge felt on the 7mm rod with Ballistol does most of the work, with Robla for plastic wad fouling.
